Review, Jupiter's Legacy

Mark Millar (Kick Ass, Civil War, Wanted) and Frank Quitely (All Star Superman, Batman and Robin, New X-Men) team up once again to create an Image superhero title.

It starts off in the 1930's with a man named Sheldon Sampson who wants to find a mysterious island in hopes that it will help restore America after the stock market crash. Sheldon, his brother, and his friends come back from the island with super powers and costumes.

The comic then jumps to the present were all the original heroes are older and have kids who also have powers. Some of these kids follow in their parents footsteps and some just want fame and money. This part of the comic fits the darker Millar route he usually takes. There is internal conflict between the heroes, politics, and drug use.

Overall I think this is a great comic book so far. It's the first issue so nothing prior to collect and only a $2.99  cover price. Give it a chance this week!
